Getting started

How do I create my first training plan?

Open Arc and follow the onboarding. Tell Arc about your experience and your goal — a target race date or general fitness with no race — and it builds an adaptive plan for you. You can change your goal or rebuild your plan anytime in Settings.

What does Arc need from Apple Health?

Arc reads recovery and activity signals such as heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and completed workouts to calculate your daily readiness and keep your plan accurate. You grant access in the Health permission sheet during setup, and you can review or change it anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Arc.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Arc works on iPhone alone. An Apple Watch adds glanceable workouts and readiness complications, and improves the quality of the recovery data Arc reads from Apple Health.

Daily use

What is the readiness score?

Readiness is a daily estimate of how recovered you are, derived from signals like HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep. Arc uses it to decide whether to keep, ease, or push the day's training. Tap into the readiness detail in the app to see what's driving it.

Why did my plan change?

Arc adapts. When your recovery, fitness, or schedule shifts, it adjusts upcoming workouts so you train hard when you're ready and back off when you're not. Each workout includes a short rationale explaining why it's there.

How does the AI coach work? Is it private?

The AI coach runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence, grounded in your own plan and readiness data. Your questions never leave your phone. It requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence; if the on-device model is still downloading, give it a few minutes and try again.

Can I import activities from Strava or intervals.icu?

Yes. Arc can import completed activities from Apple Health, intervals.icu, and Strava so your plan reflects the training you actually did. Connect your accounts in Settings.

Can I add workouts to my calendar?

Yes. Arc can export your training week to your calendar so workouts fit around the rest of your life.

Arc Pro & billing

What's included in Arc Pro?

Arc Pro unlocks adaptation that adjusts to your recovery, readiness from Apple Health, recovery and training-load trends, and the on-device AI coach. New subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by the App Store. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select Arc, and manage or cancel there. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the current billing period.

I bought Pro on another device — how do I restore it?

Open the Arc Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.

How do refunds work?

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for an App Store purchase.

Privacy & data

Where is my data stored?

On your device and in your own private iCloud. Arc does not collect your health, plan, or readiness data, and does not track you across apps or websites. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes its on-device data. Data synced through iCloud can be removed in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. You can revoke Health access anytime in the Health app.
